[Legal protest] People’s Summit on Dataclouds and Energy
You are cordially invited to the first ever People’s Summit on Dataclouds and Energy. This is a legal protest just outside the ‘Datacloud Energy Europe’ conference whose exclusionary pricing prevents us from taking part.
• Who: Everyone interested in joining a democratic conversation about AI, infrastructure, and resources.
• When: March 25th, 2026, at 8 AM
• Where: Opposite the entrance of Hotel Le Plaza Brussels, Adolphe Maxlaan 118/126,1000 Brussels
Do you have questions about AI and the infrastructure and resources it requires? Questions like: How much AI do we need and for what? How will new data centres in your city impact costs for water and electricity? Who should own and profit from AI? Or simply, how to remove the AI button in WhatsApp?
These questions are important, but techno-fascist billionaires, fossil fuel lobbyists, and the European Commission have already answered them for you—with zero democratic legitimacy. Their answer: triple data centre capacity in Europe within the next five years, enable evil corporations to make even more profit, and ask the fossil fuel industry for help to cover the insane amounts of “renewable” energy.
If these answers do not sit well with you, or you simply have more questions, XR and GrowthKills invite you to a public People's Summit on Dataclouds and Energy just opposite the “Datacloud Energy Europe 2026” conference on March 25th.
While the conference has a paywall of €1,499, our summit is free, and everyone and every question is welcome. Join us for a celebration of democratic space and conversation, protesting for our voice in shaping technology, the environment, and fighting inequality.
